1. Clean cat feces and cat litter
Frequency: It is recommended to clean the semi-closed cat litter box at least once a day to keep the litter box clean and reduce odor.

2. Clean the cat litter box
Frequency: Depending on how dirty the cat litter box is, clean it thoroughly once a week or every two weeks.
Steps:
Remove all cat litter and residue from the cat litter box.
Wash the inside and outside surfaces of the cat litter box with warm water and mild detergent (preferably pet-specific).
Make sure to rinse thoroughly without any detergent residue.
Dry the cat litter box with a clean towel or paper towel.
3. Replace the cat litter
Frequency: Replace the cat litter box with new cat litter regularly according to the amount of excretion of the cat and the speed of litter consumption.
Steps:
After cleaning the cat litter box, add an appropriate amount of new cat litter.
Make sure there is enough cat litter in the cat litter box so that the cat can defecate comfortably.
4. Disinfect the litter box
Frequency: Once every two to three months, or when the litter box smells.
Steps:
Use a pet-specific disinfectant or diluted bleach (make sure to dilute according to the instructions) to spray the inside and outside of the litter box.
Let the disinfectant stay on the litter box for a while, then rinse it with clean water.
Make sure the litter box is completely dry before using it.
5. Maintenance and care
Check the tightness of the litter box: Make sure the lid or door of the litter box can be closed tightly to prevent odors and cats from scratching out the litter.
Check the fixation of the litter box: Make sure the litter box is fixed and stable to prevent the cat from knocking it over when using it.
Replace the litter box regularly: If the litter box is damaged or aged, it should be replaced with a new one in time.
6. Precautions
Avoid using cleaners or disinfectants containing irritating chemicals to avoid harming the health of the cat.
When cleaning and maintaining the litter box, it is best to wear gloves to avoid contact with cat excrement or bacteria.
Regular cleaning and maintenance of the litter box not only helps keep your cat's living environment clean and comfortable, but also reduces odor and bacterial growth, and reduces the risk of illness for your cat.
